Hydrogel Buttock Injections

What makes hydrogel injections desirable in buttock augmentation is its homogenous and non-biodegradable nature. In essence, it can be fully integrated into surrounding tissue for long periods of time. These injections are similar in makeup to safe, doctor-recommended hyaluronic acid fillers, including Restylane and Juvéderm. Yet, when injected at a much higher quantity and concentration, they can lead to some serious complications.

Hydrogel injection for tissue augmentation is not illegal. Plastic surgeons frequently inject hydrogels in the face and lips to correct thin lips and signs of facial aging. Some of the most popular hydrogel ”fillers” are Juvederm© and Restylane©, which are hyaluronic acid transparent homogeneous hydrogels. There are longer-lasting fillers such as Radiesse©.
